This Privacy Policy explains how the Pokémon 3D Team and the pokemon3d.net website collect, use, and share personal information.

Pokémon 3D and this website are volunteer-run fan projects. The pokemon3d.net domain is owned and operated by Kilobyte AS.

This policy applies to https://pokemon3d.net/ and related services we operate. It is effective as of 1 August 2021 and was last updated on 23 July 2026.

Information We Collect

Account and profile information

When you register or update your profile, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Email address
  • Password (stored in hashed form)
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Location
  • About / bio text
  • Profile photo

Linked accounts

If you link a third-party account, we may store identifiers and profile details provided by that service, such as account ID, username, display name, email, and avatar. Supported providers may include Discord, Facebook, Twitch, and Game Jolt.

User-generated content

Content you upload or publish on the website may be stored and displayed, including skins, resources, resource updates, server listings, comments, and similar community content.

Technical and usage data

When you use the website, we may process:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device and session information (including user agent)
  • Pages visited and approximate time of visit
  • Error and diagnostic information
  • Timezone inferred from IP address on login

Analytics

On non-local environments we use Plausible Analytics, which is designed to measure site usage without cookies and without collecting personal data for advertising profiles.

Email preferences

If you opt in, we may send:

  • Update emails about the game or website
  • Notification emails for activity on your account (for example comments or likes)

You can change these preferences in your profile consents.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your account
  • provide website features and community services
  • display public profile and community content you choose to share
  • secure the service and prevent abuse

If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal information associated with it, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or operational reasons.

You can update much of your information in your profile, manage email consents there, and delete your account from your profile settings.

Children’s Privacy

People under 13 years old are not allowed to use this website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

This website may link to external sites we do not operate. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “last updated” date. Where required by law, we will ask for consent again for material changes.
